“Maybe then, you’ll find some peace within
Stop hiding yourself, stop hiding yourself
Love yourself
When no one else can” ~Lalah Hathaway
We are officially half way through the year of 2018! Have you evaluated your goals or resolutions that you created? Were they S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, timely)? If you have completed all of the goals or resolutions for the year, have you created new goals for the remainder of the year?
The time is now to start evaluating yourself. What is the one thing in your life that you wish you could change? Is it physical, mental, financial, educational, professional? The change begins with you. If you want it bad enough, you won’t wait for someone to push you or plead with you to do it. Why continue “liking” the success stories of others on IG or Facebook, if they aren’t motivating you to become a better you? What are you afraid of? How long will you continue to blame others for your current state? What are you doing to climb out of the black, abysmal hole that you feel you are in? WHAT DO YOU WANT?! How bad do you want it? Do you think you can handle it? What are you doing to get it? What will you do when you get it? Are you ready to put in the work to get it? What is your plan?
“Now you know the remedy
Tell yourself you will achieve
Just go on and brush your shoulders off
This bridge is one that you must cross
You have to find a way to make it
These clouds are letting up for awhile
Sometimes you gotta make the mirror your best friend
Maybe then, you’ll find some peace within.
Stop hiding yourself.
Love yourself
When no one else can.”
